Happy Mother's Day for all the mothers out there. It's a great day for all Mom's to sit back, relax and guilt your children into waiting on you hand and foot today because on the other 364 days of the year you are the one doing the waiting =) Milk it for all it's worth....
It's a slow news day. It has been a slow news day for a couple of days now, actually. I don't know about you but I'm getting bored with all the Usama stuff. He was a schmuck and he got killed and it's done. I'm not the least bit interested in dissecting his life. Unfortunately, this creep will go down in history whether we think he is evil or whether we think he is a hero. Depends on which side you're on.
Frankly, people who admire a man who killed so many innocent people across the world for an ideology scare me. I have no desire to sit and analyze WHY people admire him. But I do know that if you do admire him...You have a sick mind.
I remember back in the 70s watching the news as a young person. The world was scary. I remember Dan Rather mostly. Peter Jennings and Dan Rather. Back then I didn't know much. I basically knew as much as my Mom cared to explain to me which was usually to the point and short explained. I remember once expressing how "cool" I thought Nazi uniforms looked and got a stern lecture from my sister about the horrors of the Holocaust. I remember watching that TV series about the Holocaust and how bone chilling it was. I was too young to understand it all but old enough to know evil when I saw it. Back then the 1940s in black and white seemed like 1000 years ago.
Today I recognize how in the 1970s....that just really wasn't that many years after the 1940s. It's like us looking back to the 70s now. So in the 70s we were getting a taste of the Middle East with Israel on the news a lot. I remember the Iranian hostage crisis. I think that was the first event that truly creeped me out about the Middle East. Looking at the mobs of people dressed up like some kind of Monty Python movie chanting "Death to America" was very unnerving. I remember watching Ronald Reagan come to power (and the news media was actually relieved if you can believe that) and very specifically thinking to myself "these people are going to come back and be our worst nightmare. " I was very glad they were so far away and it seemed improbable, if not impossible, for them to come here and get me.
It's not improbable or impossible today. In fact....It is likely.
Our world is changing quickly because of modern technology. Back in the 1970s we did not have satellite TV. When you watched the news a news anchor sat at a desk and explained the news. They did not rely on videos very much. If they showed video it was grainy and scary looking and it was days, weeks and even months old. We certainly didn't have HD or graphics or anything of the sort. In fact, most people back then relied on newspapers for most of their news. Just like the weather alerts...back in the day when you couldn't track a tornado in 3D they were a lot more scary. Hearing the weather warnings on TV when I was a kid was akin to nuclear war. The sound of the warning, the male, monotone radio-voice warning a county to hide was terrifying.
When cable TV came out it was quite remarkable. The quality went up and when CNN came out it was a monumental change. Headline news was the very first time we could turn on the news any time of the day. In fact, TV usually shut off at night for six hours. Late night shows like Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman were the first late night shows along with SNL. After that, poof. The TV went dead. Then cable came along and all the night owls finally had something to watch when everybody else was sleeping.
We sit here in our HDTV 3D world and the kids today have no recollection of those days. World War II could have been the Civil War as far as their perspective goes. We freak out and have all this sensationalized news crammed down our throats day in and day out but you know what? It's not as scary as it was back when I was a kid and a tornado warning went off and we all ran to the hallway expecting a tornado any minute to demolish our house.
We've lost our scary world. My kids play video games scarier than any tornado warning. So is it any wonder we are watching socialists and Marxists take our country over and the younger kids don't bat an eye? They don't know how to be afraid. They scoff at fear. We kids grew up from our scary upbringing and basically taught our kids not to be afraid of anything....and they are not. As long as they have their cell phones, video game systems and ITunes they are perfectly happy.
Which is more scary to you? A fanatical group of religious zealots who have joined forces with socialists to destroy our country, or a generation of kids who grew up on Nintendo whose biggest concern is whether or not to post a video on Facebook?
I don't think we are going to get people to realize the dangers of the outside world until the outside world comes inside. And that is scary.

What is He Hiding?

There is absolutely no reason for Obama to be passing secret notes back and forth between an Air Force general. Unless he didn't want it known that he was having private conversations with this general.
General Ed Wilson is an AF general. He is in charge of missile defense on the eastern coast of the US. That's a long way from Pakistan, eh? This looks more like a spy swapping info with a spy doesn't it? Except it's in public, on film, and everybody with brains can see what they are doing.
I wonder how many KGB agents saw that swap and recognized it immediately?
I wonder how many CIA agents saw that swap and recognized it immediately?
How come a news reporter in SPAIN saw it and brought it to our attention but our own elitist, selfish, greedy, liberal news media was too brain dead to notice?
Ironically, right after the Bin Ladin raid I thought to myself...."Gee...That's like something the KGB would do. Not like something the US would do." Isn't it?
I don't want to sound paranoid and get another conspiracy started but one has to note that Obama's mother had a love relationship with the old Soviet Union. Obama himself was obsessed with all things Soviet. What was his major goal last year? Rolling over and playing dead with our missile defense systems. He caved to all Russian demands. In fact, he didn't just cave. He rolled over and showed his belly. Didn't he go all out to sign some obsolete missile reduction treaty with the Russians that put them at a military advantage to us not long ago? Nobody could quite figure out why he did that. It doesn't make much sense.
Neither does passing secret notes to some General in the AF that just happens to be in charge of missile defense on the east coast of the United States. He is the president. He doesn't have to pass notes. He just calls the secret service and tells them to go pick the guy up and bring him to his office. Or he picks up the phone on a secret line and gives him a call. In fact, the military has all sorts of nifty neato ways of communicating in a secure way.
Which makes me wonder even more...WHY were they passing each other notes secretly? Any ideas?
UPDATE: A lot of people were reporting that this was probably a Challenge Coin that military folks swap between eachother. Perhaps that is true. But wouldn't he have done that with the other military people he met with? I can find no video of him doing this same thing with any other military leader at any other stop of his. I'm not overly worried about it but I do find it curious.
I don't trust the Boy King. He is a Mafia thug from Chicago. I think he is corrupt and has a huge chip on his shoulder about this country and Americans in general. His wife has a bad case of stink-eye and is too busy with her manicures, wig fittings, and eating ribs between workouts with her personal trainer that flies in from Chicago three times a week to give a crap about doing anything. She and her fat butt wants to lecture us about how to eat, what to eat, what restaurants can serve what foods, and how to raise our kids. This Marxist couple needs to go find their Land of Utopia somewhere else. I'm about tired of it.

Zo makes a very important point. The Tea Party does not want a leader. The Republicans are all looking for "a leader" and this is wrong. We are looking from someone to represent us. Any idiot can be a leader. As proven with the last election, no matter how sad it is to admit, Americans can be tricked. It was a whole lot easier than I thought it could be, too. That is disconcerting to me.
I remember as a kid whenever the topic at church turned to Revelation and we'd sit around and discuss the anti-Christ and how it describes how the anti-Christ will inherit the earth and fool everybody. I used to think that was impossible. SURELY, people couldn't be that stupid. Today....It's completely plausible. In fact, I could see somebody trying to rule the entire planet and that scares me. The world has become smaller and the smaller we get the easier it is to control.
But that's getting way off my focus for the day. Republicans need to stop trying to find a "leader" and focus on finding someone who will represent us. We still have a lot of time between now and the next election. Obama is doing a wonderful job destroying himself. As you can see even with something as great as killing Bin Ladin he has completely screwed it up. We are seeing more and more liberal news media types exposing the president for who he is. FAKE. His Marxist tactics are being exposed by those you wouldn't expect. I think the Democrats are trying to decide whether to throw him under the bus or not. If it becomes obvious he cannot win the next election they will challenge him. So you see we do still have time. Don't be too anxious about the Republicans singling out their new candidate. Watching Obama flounder in the middle of the lake is just fine with me.
We should keep our focus on the economy. We should focus on exposing the SEIU and its Marxist activities. We should focus on exposing Obama for the communist leanings he has. Educate people. It really is amazing to me how many people do not really know the influence the socialist/communists have. We have spent most of our lives fighting the cold war only to have the very same people disguise themselves and come back just as strong under new sheep's clothing. We have GOT to educate people and make sure they realize what is happening. Americans have a habit of waiting too late to "realize" these things. We scoff at other countries for duping themselves and doing these stupid things...and here we are doing the same thing.
Ignore the distraction stories. The entire Bin Ladin photos story is just a replacement for the birth certificate. Same tactic...different item. How easy it is for the Obama team to create that new distraction.
Is it truly such a big deal? No. It really is not. I could go my entire life not seeing that photo and would be totally okay with that. But in this Jerry Springer day and age...people want the gory details. Don't fall into their trap. Stop paying attention to it. Gas is still $4 a gallon and seeing that photo is not going to change how much you spend to fill up your gas tank. If you get a virus on your computer because you were clicking around for the Bin Ladin photos then you probably deserve it. Stop falling for that stuff.
The key to winning the next election is to stay focused and to educate people. Informed voters make better decisions. Watch what the other hand is doing...and be wise.

My Friend Playing With SEALS
I am shocked, but not surprised that the Boy King has decided to out Fort Campbell. My best friend has been fighting in Afghanistan since the beginning of the Afghan war. He is an officer in Special Forces and his unit/etc. shall stay unnamed. They have been fighting this war for a very long time. Catching Osama means a lot to them. As many people in the military are, they do not need glory or recognition for their win. They are humble and appreciative....but frankly civilians are annoying.
We have been watching all week the Boy King pat himself on the back and stage photo ops because he has politicized this entire operation down to the coffee mugs on sale. In a Republican world the military would have been entirely in control of the message. They would have controlled the information or lack of information that reached the public because THEY are responsible for keeping our troops safe and for keeping the country safe.
But the Boy King does not see it that way. This is an event that he has to capitalize on so he can stay in power. To hell with the troops. To hell with the country. He wants to get re-elected. To think that he suddenly has love for our country after he has spent two years trying to dismantle it is ludicrous.
The Boy King traveling down to Fort Campbell to meet with the SEALS makes every single military family in Clarksville cringe. He just put a huge red X on that base. Not that the 101st isn't used to the attention, throughout history the 101st Airborne has been part of many historic battles...but this is no ordinary battle.
Before I get a bunch of emails telling me that it was the 160th and not 101st....Let me explain: The news media is never telling you the correct news. If you knew how inaccurate the news media was most of the time you'd never believe a word they said again. There are MANY units that have been fighting this war and have participated for YEARS in this capture. The SEALS fired the fatal shot but they do not stand apart from the rest of the troops. They celebrate as a group.
I've sat at this computer countless years with my messenger on throughout the middle of the night waiting on my friend to tell me news, good or bad. Of course, he couldn't tell me about a mission beforehand but I had a good idea when they were up to something and we had signals. I knew when to turn on the news. He works with the SEALS.
One of my favorite stories he told me....Just a regular day. He was all excited because he had to go to a forward operating base (FOB) back in the beginning of the war when they were just clearing out and setting up bases in Eastern Afghan. Special Forces, SEALS, CIA....you'd be amazed the collage of folks involved. He had to get to an FOB so he was hitching a ride with some SEALS in a jeep. This was way before they had the special armor or had all the fancy equipment they used to detect the IEDs. This was back when they used their eyes and common sense and hoped for the best.
So he hops in the jeep with the SEALS and he's headed down a dirt and gravel road with them to get to the base miles away and he says their method for avoiding the IEDs was to drive 90 miles an hour! As he put it "They are INSANE." He said it was the scariest thing he'd ever done in his life. They were flying through the air, sliding, bouncing, hauling ass through the desert of Afghanistan and the SEALS were so used to the drive they didn't even think twice about it. Yet he was terrified but of course....He couldn't blink, right? I will always remember him coming back and telling me about this.
Or the time his IM popped up and he said "A bomb just went off at the gate...I have dust all over me...Be right back".
Or the time I was whining because he had been busy and couldn't chat much....and his response was "Well SOORREEEE but I'm fighting a WAR here."
So when the Boy King stands on Fort Campbell with his Styrofoam Greek pillars and adores himself today....Remember who initiated this war. Remember who fought this war. Remember ALL THE TROOPS. They are still there fighting and have work to do. The Boy King wants his photo ops but we know who to give the real credit to.

Watch What The Other Hand Is Doing
Democrats rarely squander a crisis. They've skillfully created this diversion about photos being released. Seriously, it's an insult if you think about it. Are Americans so Jerry Springer now we'd get into a frenzy over bloody photos being released? Personally, I have no desire to see any of them. It's more concerning to me that Obama seems to the think the military is his personal mafia hit squad than whether or not Osama is dead or not.
So this morning Obama is talking about taxing Americans "by the mile". He is going to try to push through more cap and trade legislation. Of course he won't be able to get it through Congress but when has the law ever stopped this guy? He'll just create a "Mile Czar" and say screw you and do it anyway.
The Unicorn far left has been giving speeches about their dream world for ten years. They want to grab up land (which they've been doing. Take a look at the foreclosed homes across the country.) and build a vast railway system. According to the Utopia left they can build apartment buildings (think subsidized housing and that should sufficiently make the hair on the back of your neck stand up) and put people in concentrated areas. They want to phase cars out. How do they accomplish these things? Well, they've been getting rid of used cars and they are making the new "green cars" so expensive most folks can't afford them. In fact, if you're unemployed you really can't afford them, eh?
It sounds kinda crazy but think for a moment. One in six Americans is on food stamps. They are doing their best to destroy the private market. Unemployed people become dependent on the government. When you're dependent on the government they pretty much control the shots. Create a few fake crises and there you go. A terrified public willing to do anything the government says.
Never has an election been more important than the election of 2012. This election will determine whether or not we become a third world country. I want to have faith that Americans are smart enough to realize this and I believe they are. I think the Democrats will become so desperate to win this next election they will over-reach and show themselves and that will be that. We've become too cynical to fall at Obama's feet in obedience. Of course he's too arrogant to realize that. He actually thinks we still love him...He believes his own fake polls if you can believe that.
In the not so distant future we will look back at this time in history as a turning point. The Boy King will not be a hero. He will be a close call. An ugly time in history when Americans wanted to believe but believed in the wrong person. A dangerous person. A person with a huge, ugly, Marxist chip on his shoulder.
The only question I have is this. Will he go on to be the next "hero" of the black community or will be able to save them, too? The Democrats are doing all they can to divide us into groups to hate each other and exploit politically. There will be a point when it will be too late. We cannot let him get to that point. We did not struggle to get to this point of tolerance and racial harmony to sacrifice any group of people. We are all Americans and we are in this together. We cannot allow politicians to divide us up and exploit us.
We are all in this together.
UPDATE: "Officially" The WH is denying knowing anything about the mile tax idea. Apparently, some rogue far-left person in the administration randomly came up with this idea all on their own. Apparently. That is called a trial balloon. The WH will throw an idea out to see the reaction it gets before they pursue it in earnest or to see what reaction it gets so they can prepare for future plans on the same idea. How they can tweak it...hide it...or otherwise trick people into it without them knowing. It kinda reminds you of FACEBOOK and all its privacy issues doesn't it? One day we're innocently talking to our kids about cleaning the bathroom and then suddenly Lysol commercials pop up all over the place.

They want to phase cars out. How do they accomplish these things? Well, they've been getting rid of used cars and they are making the new "green cars" so expensive most folks can't afford them. In fact, if you're unemployed you really can't afford them, eh?
It sounds kinda crazy but think for a moment. One in six Americans is on food stamps. They are doing their best to destroy the private market. Unemployed people become dependent on the government. When you're dependent on the government they pretty much control the shots. Create a few fake crises and there you go. A terrified public willing to do anything the government says.
Never has an election been more important than the election of 2012. This election will determine whether or not we become a third world country. I want to have faith that Americans are smart enough to realize this and I believe they are. I think the Democrats will become so desperate to win this next election they will over-reach and show themselves and that will be that. We've become too cynical to fall at Obama's feet in obedience. Of course he's too arrogant to realize that. He actually thinks we still love him...He believes his own fake polls if you can believe that.
In the not so distant future we will look back at this time in history as a turning point. The Boy King will not be a hero. He will be a close call. An ugly time in history when Americans wanted to believe but believed in the wrong person. A dangerous person. A person with a huge, ugly, Marxist chip on his shoulder.
The only question I have is this. Will he go on to be the next "hero" of the black community or will be able to save them, too? The Democrats are doing all they can to divide us into groups to hate each other and exploit politically. There will be a point when it will be too late. We cannot let him get to that point. We did not struggle to get to this point of tolerance and racial harmony to sacrifice any group of people. We are all Americans and we are in this together. We cannot allow politicians to divide us up and exploit us.
We are all in this together.
UPDATE: "Officially" The WH is denying knowing anything about the mile tax idea. Apparently, some rogue far-left person in the administration randomly came up with this idea all on their own. Apparently. That is called a trial balloon. The WH will throw an idea out to see the reaction it gets before they pursue it in earnest or to see what reaction it gets so they can prepare for future plans on the same idea. How they can tweak it...hide it...or otherwise trick people into it without them knowing. It kinda reminds you of FACEBOOK and all its privacy issues doesn't it? One day we're innocently talking to our kids about cleaning the bathroom and then suddenly Lysol commercials pop up all over the place.

President Bush Deserves our Gratitude and Thanks

Thank you, President Bush for protecting our country. From the moment of 9/11 you were committed and resolved to protect this country. The moment you stood in NYC amid the rubble with the firefighters and policemen with your bullhorn, the country knew that you were focused and determined to bring justice for our country. You made us feel safe at a time when we were scared and uncertain and for that we are grateful.
The re-write of history that is taking place today by the left is despicable. National Geographic, who I truly believed would be at least HALF non-partisan, showed their first post Bin Laden special last night and it was breathtaking how they REVISED it to glorify the left and cast George Bush in a negative light.
No bullhorn moment. No moment that brought the country together. No Guiliani speaking to the people of NYC which for ALL OF US were such powerful, powerful moments. Instead, they of course showed President Bush in the classroom full of kids being told about the second tower, trying to make him appear weak and afraid.
For some bizarre reason the far-left uses this as a weapon against George Bush. As if he should have jumped up right then in front of all those children and ran screaming from the room!! He did EXACTLY as he should have and the American people know it. But the far left use this as propaganda in their partisan hate world.
Of course, the other day when Obama said we should remember the feelings we had after 9/11 of togetherness and the non-partisan spirit we had that was code for the news media to RE-WRITE HISTORY. Obama certainly did not mean it. He and the news media (including NatGeo) will do all they can to re-write the fact that George Bush fought and won battle after battle after battle, whether it was politically advantageous or not.
The Democrats used the anti-war platform to get Obama elected as a matter of fact. If you look carefully, you will notice this has happened twice in our recent history. George Bush Senior had the highest ratings of any president in history after the first Gulf War. Then the news media strangled him with it and Clinton was elected. After 9/11 President George Bush, Jr. also had ratings of 89% and what did the liberal media do? Well you can see exactly what they did. They have done nothing but attack him for ten years.
We as a country were absolutely devastated after 9/11. Between the WTC and the Anthrax scares and everything else we were comforted by President Bush's leadership. We knew he was in charge of the situation. We knew what he would do, and he did do EVERYTHING in his power to protect us and this country.
Do you feel that same confidence with Obama? Do you think he would take decisive decisions quickly? Or do you think he would roll over like a wet paper towel and ponder what would make him politically stronger? Do you think he would exploit our military for his own political agenda? Of course we know the answer. When Obama gives his "victory speech" at Ground Zero next week do you suppose he will go to the WTC site or stand at the mosque he wants built, eh?
Thank you, President Bush for your sincere dedication in protecting this country. Thank you for making sure 90% of Al Qaeda was destroyed on your watch. Thank you for taking the fight to them. Thank you for putting up with a biased news media and an agenda-driven party to do what was right for all of us. Thank you for showing our military respect and for taking care of our men and women in the military who fought long and hard and sacrificed so much to stand for their country and our people.
Thank you for being a patriot. Americans do know all that you did and we are grateful. We know that Bin Laden would have never been caught and brought to justice without you. It was your leadership and dedication that helped make this happen and despite the biased news media...Americans know where credit is due.
UPDATE: Notice how the stories about the raid keep changing. The WH is even getting confused about which lie they told and who told it. Let me just say that if this had been a Republican president a press conference would have been held and the Secretary of Defense would have stood at the podium with a prepared statement and would have given a very precise, deliberate account of what they wanted to reveal to us and that would have been the end of it. But being that the DEMOCRATS are in charge of course, informing the public of this raid took on a different meaning. It's more political and agenda driven. Obama wanted to grandstand and give his teleprompter speech. So many liberal news outlets have "their sources" in this WH we now have 500 different versions of the raid. Gives you a lot of confidence doesn't it? They are all being told different stories. They can't even keep up with their own lies. Additionally, if a Republican president had made this announcement with the SOD in charge of the details of course the liberal media would have gone to work trying to demonize the military or government officials immediately. Instead, we have a cluster fark going on with the liberals clammering to tell their versions with NO REGARD to our military's safety. You almost expect Joe Biden to start naming the SEALS who helped out in the raid.
The military should be solely in control of the details of this raid. They also should not have loose lips. But Obama wants to benefit politically and this is what happens. Despicable.

We Have NEVER trusted Pakistan...Our Military is Smarter Than That
Lots of talk about Pakistan, what they knew, what they did not know, do we trust them or not?
No. It's that simple. Eight years ago when my best friend helped to build Bagram Air Base at the beginning of the Afghanistan war he would IM me with horror stories of the day. Basically, the Afghans employed to help the troops would work on the base by day and shoot rockets at them by night. They had no illusion that the Afghans were their trusted friends.
Our troops in Afghanistan get most of their supplies via truck through supply lines from Pakistan. We hire truck drivers to drive across the border to the bases. It's a complex system as you can imagine with many safety features I cannot detail here but it's quite secure...yet risky. One of the most interesting stories I heard was how a truck from time to time would go missing and they'd track it and find the drivers stopped off somewhere in the desert smoking heroin. It eventually would make its way to the base. If the truckers were unfortunate enough to come across some Afghans they would get pulled out of the truck and beaten because Pakistani's and Afghanistani's apparently hate each other. He would show up at the base with the goods all beaten up wanting his money with a smile on his face.
Our troops and not naive. They know the dangers. They know who not to trust. Our news media is just stupid and ignorant when it comes to these things and so you get these ridiculous stories. An NBC anchor standing on TV with horror that Pakistan would betray us? PUHLEZE. They know the truth and if they don't then they need to go back to their caviar and lobster and get a life.
I'm also disgusted with these stupid questions about "Did Bin Ladin have a gun or not? Did he really shoot or did they just shoot him "in cold blood" Give me a freaking break. This guy is responsible for tens of thousands of peoples' lives and these pacifists are whining because he didn't shoot at the SEALS?
Pacifists are just scary aren't they? You envision them wandering around with flowers in their hair, hugging trees, with LOVE written across their foreheads. I say shoot THEM. Put them out of their misery. Can you imagine if these people were ever in charge of our security?
I'm all for a good SEAL story. I know a few myself. They're awesome. They do stuff NOBODY else would ever do and they enjoy every minute of it. The true adrenaline junkies of our military. But I don't want their secrets revealed to the world. I want to know that their secrets are safe. I don't want some hippy loving pacifist picketing their house or harassing their family. I want them safe and sound...doing their job...and taken care of.
